     "Don't buy Frigidaire at all." 2009-10-07

    We moved into a totally redone home and were delighted with our "professional" dishwasher and refrigerator. Both of them, after one and a half years and within a week of each other(out of warranty, of course), had severe problems. The top dishwasher arm fell off (no, we didn't put big things on top) - replacement, with service and a ridiculously expensive plastic part, ran 130 dollars. Not two weeks later, the entire dishwasher board is gone and it must be replaced. These two repairs will cost more than a new, more reliable machine. In addition, the Frigidaire refrigerator water dispenser "pusher" cracked off and cost a fortune to fix. My repair guy says these are expensive junk and, while he would like to keep taking our money, even he suggests another brand. Be warned...looks good, does not last.

    Like so many other folks who own this model our control panel failed two weeks ago.Dishwasher was purchased in April, 2007 and now needs a 300 dollar repair.Was tempted to get it fixed and get an extended warranty but reviews of this product on Amazon and other sites convinced me otherwise.Never again will I ever purchase an appliance from this company!!!

     "Design Flaw + Horrible Customer Service = Nightmare!" 2008-11-06

    NOTES ABOUT DISHWASHER PERFORMANCE:



    Rebuilt in May 2008, my husband and I have bought and moved into a house that had a kitchen with new Frigidaire (Electrolux) devices. This dishwasher is part of the package. In September 2008, a malfunction of the dishwasher and it was practically unusable. Two large (expensive) parts have been replaced will be October 3, 2008 (I'd just wait for parts, dealers have not) spare available: the electronic board and control the touchpad. After the failure of new dishwasher only three days after the repair, I was contacted Frigidaire and requested a replacement (instead of another repair). The reason why I did it because the service technician has accused the disturbance by a design flaw that allows moisture in the electronic components of the machine (the Board of Control and the touchpad), and he short-circuited. You might think how to design a Frigidaire dishwasher (a device that would wet) correctly in the electronic components remain dry. Frigidaire how long now? Long enough to know better, I say!



    A new (replacement), dishwasher was installed yesterday (November 5, 2008). PLD4555RFC3 The new model is identical, except that electronic components PLC4555RFC (the Board of Control and the touch pad) have been redesigned to prevent moisture from penetrating and damaging the machine model. The coach made me snap the parts of the newly designed door panel in place. In this way, I could see the difference. And 'my hope and my prayer that gives new dishwasher without any problems. For peace, I bought extended warranties for appliances Frigidaire 3 great in my kitchen, digital control: the dishwasher (model PLD4555RFC), the single wall oven (model PLEB30C9FC), and the side-by - side by refrigerator side (PHS68EJSBO model).

    I am very dissatisfied customer service Frigidaire. They had to fax to the approved replacement parts for the retailer. If the dealer does not receive the fax, sat Frigidaire them know that not by fax. They view the fax from the merchant, but never through the fax. After waiting a month for a new dishwasher, Frigidaire customer service I finally decided me to know what was happening to us. Frigidaire seems not file the correct number of faxes. I'm surprised they did not go to the fax the first time, has bothered to contact the dealer to confirm that the fax number is (Frigidaire) correctly in the file.     Do not say the Frigidaire customer service staff is incompetent, but I say that they are poorly trained and Frigidaire apparently does not care about their customers. Because of this bad experience, I can not recommend anyone to Frigidaire. A company is only as good as the people who work for them. I do not have good customer service, and do not want to go through this time ... EVER!



    UPDATE (11/12/08):



    The new washer has a design flaw. The door did not lock properly and therefore not the right contact to execute. The coach said he had a door lock, and if this does not solve the problem, you should call Frigidaire to know what to do. In the meantime, are still without a dishwasher. To get the dishwasher running, I must continue to open and close the dishwasher until the door is a good contact. Sometimes lose contact during the washing, I showed him when he was running, I can slide the door again to restart the cycle. Needless to say, it takes less time to wash and dry the dishes by hand, as for the dishwasher, it works well Babysitter! At this point I have to say absolutely nothing good to say Fridigdaire.

    If it is possible that the device to a Blankety Blank score of 0, I would! MAD During the week of Thanksgiving, this dishwasher performance was "hit and miss." Sometimes the plates would be perfectly clean, but sometimes not really. Mad ad may say that the dishes were clean but when I opened the door to go out for meals, I found the washing powder still dry (though I met the dishwasher detergent dispenser with the door open because it is defective and not yet replaced) and still the dirty dishes. A technician came and discovered that the lower spray arm is not fixed. EEK went, and now it runs properly, but I'm still waiting to be growing increasingly replaced containing a detergent. I called Frigidaire's customer service this morning. That's the part for me, but is lagging in processing the orders and is available 1/16/08. I mean, I'm open for the maintenance of the dishwasher with detergent dispenser door until the part arrived and the service technician to install it.



    UPDATE (12/8/08): The dishwasher detergent dispenser works perfectly and opens, as it should. But the panel no longer in the loop, so I have to cycle every time I chose to start the dishwasher. (It is supposed to remind the cycle so that everything I've done, click "Start" to run it.) The coach said he looks like a problem with the control panel. (Duh!) He says it's likely not the reason to open the detergent dispenser, because they do not receive the signal from the control panel, and there are now with the problem of memory is linked to the control panel. (Interesting: Previously, he said, is not among the detergent dispenser to work full time or not at all.) And the appointment of a new control panel today and will be installed as soon as it is. Personally, I think in particular this Frigidaire dishwasher model is a lemon. I do not want to spend all my time with this piece of garbage mess. However, since it is still under warranty, I must give, and Frigidaire appliance dealers the opportunity to resolve the problem.

     "Cheap parts" 2008-10-27

    I bought one of these dishwashers in Aug.2006 as a package of Professional Series appliances for a new house. The dishwasher is really quiet but I have had trouble with the top rack simce day 1. It always comes off the rollers. I had a repairman come to the house and he replaced a few rollers with the same type as original. Not a fix. He agreed they were under engineered and left me several to replace as time went on. My final fix was to have a machine shop make me new rollers out of stainless steel with the sides a bit higher so the extension rack wouldn't twist out.

    Plastic tub, plastic rollers and a cheap extension rack -- there's a recipe for disaster. Next dishwasher will have a stainless tub and a better roller system. Frigidaires customer service is horrible.

     "Bad User Interface After Only 16 Months" 2008-10-16

    I bought a model from this line since June 2007. I am writing this review for each model in this series, because my problem applies to all of them, because they all use the same function and design of this problem. Basically, the more the user interface (the component that was used to select the dishwashwer parameters and run the dishwasher) bad and had to be replaced after only 16 months. Of course, it was just outside the warranty period. If I have a family that probably would have occurred earlier. My wife and I are not too dirty laundry, and we have only 1-2 loads a week. Even when this problem occurred during the warranty period, but you still want to be with her more, I think, because it will probably be something that happens every 1 to 2 years. I had hoped, Frigidaire could be solved this problem since I bought when it was relatively new to the market and this is probably a design flaw. However, my husband, I have no signs of repair. I watched the remedy is simple: just drag the old port and connect the new, a loss of $ 117 in progress, if you ask me ... a monkey can do about it! Btw, is the party, $ 113 U.S.. Although the type of repair was convinced that the steam intentionally broken electronic components is the fact of the matter, there are chimneys that moisture can access the port for the cooling of electronic components. The motherboard of your computer is protected with a lid and seal, but the interface is permanently suspended in time.
